Professional Development
Professional Development
All our Educators are expected to take part in on-the-job training. We have a professional development programme that includes monthly meetings covering topics such as guiding children’s behaviour, learning and assessment using Kei tua o te pai & Te Whāriki, music, arts & drama. We have developed an indepth appraisal system that encourages the educators to become reflective practitioners and the coordinators support them in setting meaningful ongoing learning goals for themselves. Educators are encouraged to attend conferences, workshops and other relevant courses to enhance their ongoing learning and their work with the children.
