At Kiddz, we cherish every child's learning journey and make sure to capture and commemorate their significant moments. Our dedicated Educators maintain detailed records of each child's progress, including stories and memorable events that unfold during their time with us. These stories beautifully depict and honor your child's unique personality and can be conveniently accessed by parents through our online education portal.
What about a Nanny?
At Kiddz, we understand the importance of providing quality care and education for your child in the comfort of your own home. That's why we offer the option of a professional Nanny who can cater to your child's needs.
We're here to support you throughout the process of finding the perfect nanny for your family, and we provide ongoing assistance, including:
- Our visiting teachers regularly visit your home to support the nanny in building strong relationships with your child. This allows your child to explore their passions, interests, and take the lead in their learning journey.
- We organize a weekly playgroup where your nanny can connect with other educators and nannies. It's an opportunity for your child to be part of a larger group, engage in inquiry-based play, and learn alongside their peers.
- We offer professional development opportunities for your nanny, ensuring they stay updated with the latest practices and knowledge in childcare.
- Through our e-portfolio system, we document your child's learning journey, capturing their milestones, growth, and achievements.
- All our nannies undergo thorough background checks, including police vetting and reference checks. We also interview them to ensure they align with our philosophy and are committed to delivering the best outcomes for children.
- Safety is our top priority. Our nannies are certified in first aid, ensuring they can handle any unforeseen circumstances.
As part of the nanny selection process, we conduct a safety check of your home and gardens to meet the Ministry of Education regulations for Homebased Childcare. This ensures that your child remains safe at all times. Specific requirements include having a fenced outdoor play area accessible from the house, guards around heaters and fires, and proper fencing around swimming pools. Additionally, access to a first aid kit is necessary to ensure immediate response to any emergencies.

Your Visiting Teacher
Your Visiting Teacher is a qualified and registered early childhood teacher who supports you and your child(ren) throughout their journey with Kiddz. They will help you get set up with Kiddz and will then have monthly visits with your child(ren) in the home where care takes place.
In addition to checking in on your child’s development and wellbeing, they provide your Educator/Nanny with ongoing support and development and run weekly Hapori.
Visiting Teachers are responsible for ensuring your Educator/Nanny is meeting key standards set by the Ministry of Education’s regulations for homebased care providers. This includes ensuring the home is safe and there are individualized learning programmes in place for each child. The Visiting Teacher will also check in with you during key times of the year either by phone or email.
